Shakira Partners Charity Foundation with Big Balls

The campaign is the result of a new partnership between the  FC Barcelona Foundation and Shakira’s own Pies Descalzos Foundation, which “works to ensure that every Colombian child can exercise their right to a quality education. Their vision is to demonstrate a sustainable, replicable education model which provides quality education to Colombia’s most vulnerable people, thereby unlocking their intellectual, emotional and social potential.”

Shakira stated “Not only do we represent the largest minority in the country, but the fastest growing; our community is in urgent need to provide all the necessary tools so that our children can develop their maximum potentials, talents, and intelligence.”  Additionally, she stated the use of sports with boys and girls reiterating her commitment by saying:  “The Hispanics in the United States have all the talent and desire; what we need now is more education and more sports to keep the ball on our side and to achieve the best play”.

Partners in Charity boasts the issuance of over 200,000 down payments to qualified buyers, with grants of 2% to 10% in down payments. In some cases, PIC can even help with closing costs. The good news is that the awards do not have to be paid back.

In selecting Partners in Charity as phone card of the month, Catherine M. Cavanagh, President of Corporate Phone Cards, explained that the overall design of the phone card is a factor for selection as well as the unique use of the clientÂ’s custom phone cards and/or the organizationÂ’s purpose or mission statement.

Cavanagh went on to say that CPC was delighted to be able to help “spread the word” about PIC’s efforts in helping people buy a house and stated that, “There are only a few things in life more exciting than buying a home.”
