Decisions of Armstrong County judges

The following is a partial list of criminal cases handled by Judge James J. Panchik at a sentence court on July 26. Unless otherwise noted, court costs and supervision fees are to be paid by the defendant:

• Dennis Richard Baker Jr., 24, of 657 Cadogan Slate Lick Road, Kittanning, was sentenced to one year probation on two counts of simple assault. He was ordered to pay $400 in fines and costs and $2,113.39 in restitution and must perform 60 hours of community service.

• Chad Alan Lockhart, 30, housed in the Armstrong County Jail, was sentenced to one year probation on a charge of furnishing drug-free urine. He was ordered to pay $200 in fines and costs and must complete a drug and alcohol evaluation and attend Alcoholics/Narcotics Anonymous meetings.

He was ordered to perform 30 hours of community service.

• Vaughn James Malone Sr., 24, housed in the Allegheny County Jail, was sentenced to two years probation on charges of resisting arrest and false identification to law enforcement. He was ordered to pay $300 in fines and costs and must perform 60 hours of community service.

• Bradley Andrew Johns, 41, housed in the Armstrong County Jail, was sentenced to 90 days followed by 90 days to five years on charges of driving under the influence and driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked. He was ordered to pay $3,060 in fines and costs and must complete a highway safety course, a drug and alcohol evaluation, a victim impact program and be monitored by an alcohol-detecting anklet for 30 days after release from incarceration or house arrest.

He was credited with 211 days served. He was ordered to perform 30 hours of community service.

• Corrin Michele Hillwig, 31, housed in the Armstrong County Jail, was sentenced to 214 days to two years less a day followed by two years probation on three counts of theft. She was ordered to pay $1,000 in fines and costs and $4,987.25 in restitution and must complete a drug and alcohol evaluation and attend Alcoholics/Narcotics Anonymous meetings.

She was credited with 224 days served. She was ordered to perform 90 hours of community service.

• William Andrew Gemmill, 20, housed in the Armstrong County Jail, was sentenced to two years probation on charges of theft from a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property. He was ordered to pay $500 in fines and costs and $3 in restitution and must perform 60 hours of community service.
