Antioch Baptist Church will host summer fun days every Tuesday beginning July 5 through Aug. 23, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be activities for kids ages 3 to rising sixth grade including sports, arts and crafts, music, sign language and water fun. Olive Baptist Church, Unionville, will hold revival services Aug. 10-12. The guest preachers will be: Aug. 10, the Rev. Gene Lee of Nazareth Baptist Church, Orange; Aug. 11, the Rev. James Louderback of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, Barboursville; and Aug. 12, the Rev. Leon Easterling of Mt. Holy Baptist Church, Unionville. Devotions will begin at 7:30 p.m. nightly followed by preaching at 8 p.m.
WBRBA ANNUAL SESSION The Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Association, Inc.'s 122nd annual session will be held Tuesday, Aug. 16 through Friday, Aug. 19, at the Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Center, 15044 Ryland Chapel Rd., Rixeyville. Tuesday is youth day, college scholarships will be announced; Wednesday is the official opening and "Center March;" Thursday is "Missions Day" and Friday is Memorial Day. The week will include great fellowship with preaching, singing and workshops. Featured preachers include minister Terry Jackson, Mt. Olive, Culpeper; the Rev. Haywood Robinson, Peoples Community Church, Silver Spring, MD; sister Margaret Peyton Brown, Chantilly; the Rev. Harrison Williams, Shiloh, Stanardsville; and the Rev. Marvin Jackson, Bealton. Reminder for youth: the youth choir workshop will be Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. under the direction of deaconess Octavia Lewis Yates. UBC HOMECOMING AND REVIVAL Union Baptist Church, Trevilians, will be having homecoming and revival Aug. 21-26. Pastor Tyrone Hilton will preach the 11 a.m. service Aug. 21 followed by dinner. At 3 p.m., pastor Harrison Williams of Shiloh Baptist Church, Stanardsville, will be the guest along with his choir, ushers and congregation. Williams will also be the guest Aug. 22-26. Evening services will begin at 7:30 p.m. nightly with various choirs rendering the music each night.
MCBC HOMECOMING AND REVIVAL Homecoming and Revival Services will be held at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Nasons, beginning Sunday, Aug. 21 with morning worship service at 11:30 a.m. followed by the annual homecoming dinner. The guest preacher for the 3 p.m. afternoon service will be the Rev. Darnell Lundy accompanied by his choir and congregation from Main Uno Baptist Church, Madison. Revival services are Aug. 24 - 26, 7:30 p.m., with the Rev. Reese Washington of Shiloh Baptist Church, Brandy Station. Various choirs will perform each night: Wednesday, the Shady Grove Men's Chorus, Orange; Thursday, Hopewell Baptist Church, Rapidan; and Friday, Shiloh Baptist Church, Brandy Station.
