BURGLARY

GAP: A restaurant along Route 30 was burglarized overnight Tuesday, police reported.

A burglar or burglars broke the glass front door to get inside 4 Brothers Diner & Family Restaurant, 5267 Lincoln Highway, state police at Lancaster said.

Stolen were $500 from a cash register and a metal cash box containing $624, police said. The burglary occurred between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 5:26 a.m. Wednesday.

Police ask anyone with information about the burglary to call 299-7650. Tipsters may also call Lancaster City/County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-322-1913.

LANCASTER: Power tools, three air conditioners and a microwave were stolen Saturday or Sunday from a home in the 100 block of South Prince Street. Entry was made through a rear first-floor window. Loss is $468.

DRUGS

RAPHO TWP.: Dennis Kanyi, 26, of Cockeysville, Md., was charged Sunday with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, false identification to law enforcement, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass at the Renaissance Faire, 2773 Lebanon Road.

DUI

EAST LAMPETER TWP.: David S. Rynier, 27, of the 3200 block of Lincoln Highway East, Paradise, was arrested for suspected DUI at 2:10 a.m. Wednesday in the 2400 block of Lincoln Highway East, township police said. Police got a complaint that an eastbound vehicle on the Route 30 bypass was speeding and drifting all over the roadway. An officer saw Rynier's vehicle go completely into oncoming lanes of traffic at one point. Rynier's blood alcohol level was measured at .17 percent, more than twice the legal limit.

ADAMSTOWN: Gerald Werner Jr., 54, of the 200 block of Main Street, Denver, is facing possible charges as the result of a vehicle stop Sunday on Adamstown Road. Charges are pending toxicology results.

WARWICK TWP.: Dalia Gomez, 50, of 27 S. Broad St., Apt. 9, Lititz, was charged after a traffic stop Sunday in the 600 block of East Newport Road.

WEST COCALICO TWP.: Clarence Osborne Jr., 40, of the 200 block of North Reading Road, Ephrata, is facing possible charges after he was stopped for driving erratically Aug. 3 in the 200 block of South Line Road. Charges are pending toxicology results.

EAST COCALICO TWP.: Rithina Torn, 21, of Philadelphia, is facing possible charges as the result of a one-vehicle crash Aug. 1 at Holtzman and Yetter roads. Charges are pending toxicology results.

LEOLA: Jonathan J. Barrett, 28, of the 500 block of East Spruce Street, New Holland, was charged in a traffic stop in the 200 block of East Main Street on July 28, police said.

The story is ,someone who had too much to drink, crashed his motorcycle into the window. Then wandered away, and contacted the police saying his bike had been stolen. With no witness, no charges filed, but it makes me wonder why the cops did not employ basic police tactic, and say, “Let us review the security camera, and see who did it”. Would of been an instant confession.
